Roberto Mancini targets Europa League spot

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has said that his side are determined to qualify for the Europa League this season.

City are currently at the bottom of Champions League Group D with three points from five matches, a point behind third-placed Ajax.

"In the Europa League you play on Thursdays, so that's a bit tricky, but we still want to make it and will try everything to go through and then go as far as possible there," he said.

City will take on Borussia Dortmund in Germany in their final group game on Tuesday.
