Bafetimbi Gomis reveals racist abuse

Bafetimbi Gomis has revealed that he was racially abused during Lyon's 4-0 French Cup semi-final victory over GFCO Ajaccio last night.

The French striker, who scored during the win, has claimed that certain sections of the Ajaccio faithful aimed "monkey noises" in his direction.

"After my goal, I put my hands behind my ears because I had heard monkey noises during the game," Gomis told L'Equipe. "I even had a banana thrown at me."

Gomis was booked for his celebration.
