Preview: Lyon vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole looks ahead to Sunday's top-of-the-table Ligue 1 clash between Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain.

A place at the top of the Ligue 1 table is at stake when Lyon host Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade de Gerland on Sunday.

This weekend's home side currently lead the way in number one spot, but defending champions PSG are hot on their heels just two points behind.

It's very tight at the top as second-placed Marseille are level on points with Laurent Blanc's side and are also in contention for top spot this weekend when they take on Rennes away tomorrow.

Lyon have been impressive on the field in the last few months as they went on a seven-game winning run in the top flight, although their momentum was halted by a goalless draw with Monaco last weekend.

For PSG, they have won their last three league games in a row since a 4-2 defeat to Bastia last month, and have not conceded in their last two.

In terms of goals for, PSG have netted 15 in their last 10 league fixtures, but it's a healthier statistic for Hubert Fournier's team, who have nabbed 20 goals in the same number of games in Ligue 1.

With regards to the last five meetings between the two sides, PSG are leading the way on three wins, while Lyon have one to their name and the latest clash, which was held in September last year at the Parc des Princes, ended in a 1-1 draw.

The home side are expected to be without their top-scorer Alexandre Lacazette for this weekend's match, while defender Milan Bisevac is also due to miss out.

For PSG, they travel to their rivals with a full-strength squad, which means that Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani and Lucas Moura are likely to lead the attack.
