Report: Raheem Sterling in line for England squad?

Raheem Sterling is likely to be called up to the England team for the friendly with Denmark and could force his way into Roy Hodgson's World Cup squad, according to a report.

Raheem Sterling could force his way into the England World Cup squad, according to a report.

The Liverpool player scored twice in the 5-1 defeat of Arsenal on Saturday, but brushed off the praise for his performance.

However, his recent form has not gone unnoticed, and England boss Roy Hodgson has decided to name the winger in his squad for next month's friendly with Denmark, The Mirror claims.

The newspaper adds that Sterling, who won his first cap against Sweden in November 2012, is now being considered for the 2014 World Cup.

The 19-year-old recently admitted that a period out of the Liverpool first team caused him to change his mentality.
