Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers reveals that there has been no further progress in keeper Pepe Reina's move to Napoli.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that there has been no further progress in Pepe Reina's move away from the club.

The Spaniard was reportedly close to sealing a loan deal with Napoli to link up with former boss Rafael Benitez after the arrival of Simon Mignolet at Anfield appeared to push him down the pecking order.

Rodgers told the club's official website when asked about the Serie A side's bid for Reina: "Nothing as of yet. The latest was that there was an offer to take him on loan but that's something that hasn't been discussed any further."

Reina joined Liverpool in 2005 and has made over 350 appearances for the club.
