Raheem Sterling could reportedly force a move away from Liverpool this summer if he chooses to buy-out the final year of his contract.
The England midfielder's contract at Anfield runs out in the summer of 2017, but he could buy-out the last year for £1.7m.
This would reduce his potential fee to £25m, reports the Daily Mail, with both Manchester City and Chelsea potential suitors.
It is reported that the threat of cutting his contract by a year will give Sterling a greater command and mean that the Reds will have no choice but to sell him.
Sterling will likely feature this afternoon in Liverpool's FA Cup semi-final clash against Aston Villa.
