Report: Liverpool to sign Derby County's Will Hughes for £12m

Liverpool are reportedly edging closer to signing Derby County youngster Will Hughes.

The Merseyside outfit have been linked with the 18-year-old for some time, while the Reds' Premier League rivals Manchester United are also said to be monitoring the midfielder.

Despite early reports claiming that Liverpool had made no plans to launch a January bid for Hughes, the Reds have agreed to meet Derby's £12m asking price, according to The Express.

Reports have suggested that Arsenal were also a contender for Hughes's signature.
