Report: Liverpool eye Leroy Sane

Schalke 04 youngster Leroy Sane is being monitored by Liverpool, according to reports.

The 19-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, only signed a new two-year contract with the German club in the summer.

However, that will not deter Brendan Rodgers, who has sent scouts to watch the striker in recent weeks and is considering a January bid for the player, reports SportBild.

Sane, who has represented Germany at Under-21 level, has scored seven goals in 22 appearances for Schalke.
