Sunderland's Simon Mignolet 'to finalise Liverpool transfer today'

Sunderland goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will reportedly complete his move to Liverpool today.

The Belgian, who has been linked with the Merseyside outfit for some time, is believed to be close to finalising a £9m switch, which will amount to £10m in performance-related add-ons.

The 24-year-old will undergo a medical at Liverpool's training ground Melwood today before penning a five-year contract, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Mignolet will become the Reds' fourth signing of the summer following the acquisitions of Kolo Toure, Luis Alberto and Iago Aspas.
