Liverpool to complete Iago Aspas signing within 48 hours?

Liverpool are reportedly expected to secure the signing of Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas within the next 48 hours.

Reports emerged last week claiming that the Merseyside outfit have agreed a £7.7m fee with the La Liga club for the 25-year-old Spaniard.

While it had been suggested that teams in Germany, Italy and Portugal were also interested in the player, it is believed that a few minor details need to be tied up before Aspas flies to Liverpool for a medical, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that the Premier League outfit are also close to clinching the signature of Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori.
