Liverpool are reportedly considering making a move for out-of-favour Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart.
Speculation is rife that the England number one will leave City this month before the end of the transfer window.
Hart has been first-choice goalkeeper for the North-West outfit for the last six years, but new manager Pep Guardiola appears to have other ideas as he preferred Wilfredo Caballero in his first two competitive games in charge.
The Spaniard dropped Hart to the bench for Saturday's Premier League opener against Sunderland and in last night's 5-0 thumping of Steaua Bucuresti in their Champions League playoff first leg.
Everton have been linked with a loan move for Hart, and according to Sky Sports News, their Merseyside rivals Liverpool are planning to enter the mix.
Simon Mignolet is the Reds' current number one, but Hart would likely become first choice if he were to move to Anfield.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp signed German shot-stopper Loris Karius from Mainz in the summer transfer window, but he will be sidelined for around eight weeks with a broken hand.
