Liverpool are reportedly ready to demand £15m to part ways with defender Nat Phillips during the January transfer window.

Liverpool reportedly value defender Nat Phillips at £15m ahead of the January transfer window.

Despite penning a new long-term contract earlier this year, the Englishman is only regarded as fifth-choice centre-back by Jurgen Klopp.

While the 24-year-old starred against AC Milan in the Champions League last week, the appearance was a result of Liverpool having already secured their progress through to the last 16.

According to The Athletic, the Merseyside giants want to receive £15m for the centre-back given his considerable improvement during 2021.

The report claims that club officials will point to Burnley paying a similar fee for Stoke City's Nathan Collins, regardless of the youngster's lack of Premier League experience.

Phillips, who is known to be interesting West Ham United, has admitted that he is open to departing Anfield at the turn of the year.
