Liverpool are reportedly keen on the signing of Fulham's Antonee Robinson, with the Reds eyeing up a summer move for the 26-year-old left-back.

Liverpool are reportedly interested in the signing of Fulham defender Antonee Robinson during the upcoming summer transfer window.

The USA international has started all but one of the Cottagers' Premier League matches so far in 2023-24, providing four assists from left-back.

Robinson leads the way for interceptions among top-flight players in England, with the 26-year-old managing 58 to date - 18 more than Everton centre-back James Tarkowski.

Since making the switch from Wigan Athletic to Craven Cottage in August 2020, the defender has appeared 136 times for the West London side in all competitions, scoring on three occasions.

According to Football Insider, title-chasers Liverpool are still eyeing up a move for Robinson ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, when the club's new era without Jurgen Klopp will commence.

The report claims that the Reds have been impressed by the defender's underlying statistics, with the American among the best players in the Premier League in terms of progressive passes and runs.

Liverpool were said to have enquired about the services of Robinson ahead of the January transfer window, however it was later suggested that the Reds did not push for his signature.

Klopp's options on the left side of defence have been limited for the majority of the current season, with Andrew Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas both enduring spells on the sidelines.

First-choice left-back Robertson suffered a serious shoulder injury in October and was subsequently out of action for four months, however the 29-year-old has now featured in three-straight matches as he regains match fitness.

Natural centre-back Joe Gomez was often deployed in a full-back role in the absence of Robertson and Tsimikas, although the 11-time international was unable to bag his first professional goal despite finding himself in advanced areas more regularly.

Robinson put pen to paper on fresh terms at Craven Cottage ahead of the current term, committing his future to Fulham until the summer of 2028.

Liverpool knocked the Cottagers out of the EFL Cup at the semi-final stage last month, meaning that the Reds could still achieve a quartet of major honours.

The Merseysiders remain top of the Premier League standings despite losing 3-1 at title hopefuls Arsenal on Sunday afternoon - the Reds' first domestic defeat since late September.
