Liverpool are reportedly planning to tie an integral quintet of players down to new contracts, but uncertainty lingers over the futures of their attacking stars.

Liverpool are reportedly lining up new contract offers for five of their integral players.

The Reds have been relatively quiet on the transfer front this summer, with Ibrahima Konate representing their only signing of the current window so far.

Georginio Wijnaldum and Marko Grujic have both secured permanent exits from the club, and the Liverpool hierarchy are thought to be prioritising new contracts for a number of their established players.

According to The Athletic, the Reds are keen to tie down Alisson Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho, with the quintet seen as the spine of the team.

However, little progress is believed to have been made in negotiations with Jordan Henderson, who is supposedly being eyed up by Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino.

With regards to Liverpool's famed attacking trio, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane's futures are both far from secure, and the Reds have reportedly been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Rennes teenager Jeremy Doku.
