Liverpool could be looking to step up their interest in Udinese striker Luis Muriel, according to a report in the Italian press.

Brendan Rodgers will be seeking to strengthen his squad come the summer, with the Reds aiming to push on from a standout performance this campaign.

The Anfield club have been rumoured to be looking at the Colombian in the past, with Italian source Tutto Mercato the latest to report interest in the player.

Muriel is contracted to Udinese until the summer of 2018 and is thought to be valued at around £17m by the Italian club.
