It is thought that the Merseyside club are keen to offload Mario Balotelli in the summer and their network of scouts are being tasked with finding loan players.
Liverpool have been alerted to Guarin's availability and a deal may be struck on a permanent basis in the summer, if the club are allowed to take him on loan initially.
