Liverpool ponder January move for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar?

Liverpool have reportedly outlined a January move for Schalke 04 striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar.

The Premier League outfit are lacking in forward options following their unsuccessful attempts to sign a striker in the summer window, and Luis Suarez is the only recognised frontman after Fabio Borini was ruled out for three months with a foot injury.

It is understood that Reds boss Brendan Rodgers is keen to snap up Huntelaar, who is believed to have postponed talks with Schalke over signing a new contract, according to the Daily Star.

The Netherlands international comes to the end of his current deal with the German outfit in the summer.
