Jurgen Klopp undecided on Sheyi Ojo short-term future at Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp hints that he could give Sheyi Ojo some more playing time at Liverpool next season, rather than sending him out on loan, due to various injury issues.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that he is still yet to decide whether to send Sheyi Ojo back out on loan this coming season.

The 19-year-old winger spent time at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship last term before returning to Anfield in January.

Ojo impressed at times in the second half of the campaign, seeing him earn eight Premier League appearances and also three run-outs in the FA Cup in the final four months.

Speaking after the 2-0 win over AC Milan, in which the England Under-19s international played a vital role in the second goal, Klopp told reporters: "I don't know [whether he will be loaned]. We will have to see.

"Sheyi is a wonderful player that's for sure and his future is 100% at Liverpool. We don't have to make decisions so early. We have time and we have to use the time.

"We have had some injuries. We need to make the boys as fit as possible. Ojo has only been with us for five days after coming from the tournament with England Under-19s."

Roberto Firmino and Divock Origi were both on target for Liverpool in the convincing win - a match that saw summer signing Georginio Wijnaldum make his bow for the Merseyside outfit.
