Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp tells Mario Balotelli to find new club

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp tells Mario Balotelli to find a new club this summer as he has no future at Anfield.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told Mario Balotelli that he should search for a new club this summer as he does not have a future at Anfield.

The controversial Italian striker struggled to make his mark at the Premier League outfit after joining from AC Milan in a £16m deal two years ago.

The 25-year-old returned to Milan on a season-long loan in the 2015-16 campaign, but failed to impress at his former club, resulting in him making his way back to Merseyside for pre-season.

Klopp, who replaced Brendan Rodgers as manager in October, has suggested that Balotelli is not in his future plans as he will need to battle Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi, Christian Benteke and Danny Ings for a spot in the attacking lineup.

"I have spoken to him about this," Klopp told reporters. "He's not at the stage of his career where he should be battling with four or five other players for one or two positions, so it's clear we need a solution. There will be a club around who would be happy to have the new Mario Balotelli. I have spoken clearly to the player about that."

Balotelli failed to make Italy's squad for the recent European Championships.
