Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants two more signings before this summer's transfer window closes for business, according to a report.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly keen for his club to complete two more signings before this summer's transfer window closes on October 5.

The Reds have been quiet in the current market, only completing a deal for back-up left-back Kostas Tsimikas.

The Premier League champions continue to be linked with a number of players, though, with Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara thought to be a leading target for the club.

According to The Athletic, Klopp is keen for two more signings to arrive before the window closes, but the German will not put pressure on club chiefs due to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

The Merseyside giants opened their 2020-21 Premier League campaign with a 3-2 victory over newly-promoted Leeds United last weekend.

Next up for the champions is a trip to Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, while they will also take on an improving Arsenal in the league before the end of the month.
