West Ham United co-owner David Gold has admitted that he would be interested in signing Liverpool's Andy Carroll should the striker become available.
Gold denied that there has been any talks between the two clubs over a potential move despite speculation linking the Hammers with a loan move for the England international, but was quick to express an interest.
"I am not aware of any talks between ourselves or Liverpool over Andy Carroll," Gold told BBC Sport.
"But that's not to say we don't have an interest should he become available."
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has previously stated that he could be open to loaning Carroll out of Anfield, but the striker is thought to be against the idea.
