Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole will reportedly complete a medical at West Ham United today ahead of a move to Upton Park.

The former England international has been in talks with the former Championship club over a transfer after failing to force his way into the Liverpool first team and is expected to undergo a medical at some point today, according to Sky Sports News.

The 31-year-old's impending move to the London club has been welcomed by Hammers midfielder Sebastian Lletget.

Lletget tweeted: "Training with my man Joe Cole today, top player, looking forward to it #whufc #coyi."

Cole, who spent last season on loan at Lille, began his career at Upton Park.
