Barcelona to move for Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno?

Barcelona are reportedly considering whether to launch an approach for Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno during the January transfer window.

Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Barcelona.

Moreno has just entered his fifth campaign at Anfield, with the 26-year-old making a total of 137 appearances for the Merseyside giants in all competitions.

However, the Spaniard has featured just once this season, and according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are considering whether to offer a fresh start to the player.

Moreno has less than a year remaining on his contract, and the former Sevilla man would be regarded as a quality deputy for Jordi Alba by Barca boss Ernesto Valverde.

The left-back is unlikely to agree a new deal with Liverpool, leaving the Premier League side with a decision to make regarding the player's future in January.
