Ryan Babel educating Christian Eriksen on Liverpool

Former Liverpool forward Ryan Babel has spoken to Ajax star Christian Eriksen about a potential move to Anfield.

The Reds are reported to be leading the chase for the Danish international, who scored nine goals in 14 appearances in the Eredivisie last season.

Babel returned to Ajax on loan last season, where he played alongside the 21-year-old starlet, and believes that Eriksen could be lured to Merseyside should the club put enough effort into convincing him.

"For the fans who have questions about Eriksen, I've given him enough information about the club during the past season, so he understands," the 26-year-old posted on Twitter.

"In my opinion it's Liverpool who have to make the real effort to get him, then I could see a happy ending."

The Dutch international recently signed a deal with Turkish side Kasimpasa.
