Joe Allen spotted watching Liverpool

Swansea City midfielder Joe Allen has been spotted watching Liverpool in action at Anfield ahead of a proposed moved to the club.

It was reported on Wednesday that the Merseysiders had triggered a release clause in the 22-year-old's contract as manager Brendan Rodgers looks to be reunited with the Welsh international.

Allen's presence during Thursday's Europa League qualifier against FC Gomel is an indication that a move to the Reds is immiment.

Swansea gave Allen his first professional contract in 2007 following eight years in their youth academy.
