Adrian says that he 'sees himself at Liverpool' next season as he plays down talk of a return to Spain.

Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian has reiterated that he intends to remain at Anfield this summer, despite interest from La Liga clubs.

The 33-year-old was signed by Jurgen Klopp on a free transfer ahead of the 2019-20 campaign to provide cover for first-choice stopper Alisson Becker.

Adrian has featured 18 times in all competitions due to Alisson's injury issues this term, but he has been linked with a return to Spain next season, with former club Real Betis said to be interested.

However, the Spaniard is happy to see out the remainder of his Liverpool contract before considering his next career move.

"I see myself in Liverpool at the moment," he told Radio Sevilla. "I still have many years of football left, so we will see.

"I have one more year at Liverpool and another optional one. Right now I wouldn't change anything to be here in Liverpool and enjoy this beautiful moment. After this moment I honestly don't know, football is a lot of fun.

"In the summer, I saw myself, being free, the possibility of returning to Betis was there, but it vanished.

"You have to live the present, and we'll see what happens next. Having to leave home was complicated but looking at it now with perspective it's clear that I've grown as a professional and as a person."

Liverpool are alleged to have agreed a deal for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, while Loris Karius is also back at Anfield after terminating his loan spell with Besiktas.
