AC Milan to rival Liverpool for Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak?

AC Milan have reportedly identified Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak as a potential transfer target.

Despite having featured during a struggling run for the Bundesliga outfit, the centre-back remains highly regarded by a number of top clubs.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with an approach for the Turkey international as they consider finding a replacement for Virgil van Dijk.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan are contemplating whether to enter the race for the 20-year-old during the January window.

Although Milan currently sit at the top of the Serie A standings, there is a desire to build for the future with younger additions to the squad.

Kabak still has just under four years remaining on his contract at Schalke.
