Having squandered the chance to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table into the double figures, Liverpool have some wrongs to right in Sunday's blockbuster battle with Manchester City at the Etihad.

The Reds were forced to settle for a share of the spoils in Wednesday's 2-2 stalemate with Aston Villa, where they required a deflected Trent Alexander-Arnold leveller to rescue a point in the second half.

Arne Slot's men may therefore only be five points clear of Arsenal by the time Sunday's crunch clash rolls around, if the Gunners can sink West Ham United in their London derby the day before.
