Team News: Luis Diaz starts for Liverpool against Leicester City, Mohamed Salah on bench

Luis Diaz has made the starting lineup for Liverpool's Premier League clash with Leicester City at Anfield, while Mohamed Salah is on the bench.

The Colombia international made his debut for the club in their 3-1 FA Cup win over Cardiff and has now been handed his first start under Jurgen Klopp for the visit of the Foxes.

Klopp revealed that Salah had declared himself fit for the encounter after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, but the Egypt international will only be considered for minutes as a substitute.

Alisson Becker makes an expected return in between the sticks, as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil van Dijk and Andy Robertson form a familiar backline.

Jordan Henderson has not made the squad due to a back problem, allowing Curtis Jones the opportunity to start alongside Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara in the engine room.

With Sadio Mane still celebrating Senegal's AFCON win, Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino join Diaz in the attack, with Harvey Elliott also among the substitutes again.
