Liverpool ease to Sunderland win

Two goals from Luis Suarez help Liverpool to a 3-0 win over Sunderland at Anfield in the Premier League.

Liverpool have seen off Sunderland 3-0 in tonight's Premier League encounter at Anfield.

The hosts took the lead in the 19th minute when Raheem Sterling lifted the ball over the onrushing Simon Mignolet following Luis Suarez's through ball.

Suarez then got on the scoresheet himself with 26 minutes on the clock as he took on Carlos Cuellar before firing the ball into the bottom corner.

Sunderland had chances to get themselves back into the match during the first half, but James McClean and Matthew Kilgallon were guilty of putting their opportunities wide.

It took Liverpool eight minutes after the restart to extend their lead and it was Suarez who got his second of the match when he converted past Mignolet thanks to Steven Gerrard's sweeping pass.

The Uruguayan nearly completed his hat-trick in the 70th minute - only for Mignolet to get across in time to keep the effort out.
