Tom Adeyemi suspect released on bail

The 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of racially abusing Oldham Athletic's Tom Adeyemi has been released on bail.

The alleged incident took place at the end of the Latics' FA Cup third round tie against Liverpool at Anfield.

Adeyemi was visibly upset after a fan in the Kop end of the stadium was thought to have shouted a racial slur at the 20-year-old.

Merseyside Police arrested the man, believed to be from the Aintree area of the city, on Saturday night after launching an investigation.
