Preview: Liverpool vs. Manchester City

Sports Mole previews the Premier League encounter between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Brendan Rodgers's Liverpool can earn a huge advantage in the title race with three points over Manchester City on Sunday.

The Reds can move seven points clear of City, who would still have two games in hand, but defeat against Manuel Pellegrini's team would leave Liverpool facing a tough task to win their first league title since 1990.

Rodgers must decide on whether to recall defender Daniel Agger, who missed last week's 2-1 victory at West Ham United with a knee problem, while Lucas Leiva could be selected in place of Coutinho.

City go into the contest on Merseyside with their destiny in their own hands, despite sitting in third position in the standings.

The Citizens will claim their second Premier League trophy in three years if they are successful in their final seven fixtures, and Pellegrini is also boosted by the return of striker Sergio Aguero.

Aguero has been absent for the past five matches with a hamstring problem, and Pellegrini must decide on whether to hand the Argentine an immediate start on his return to the first-team squad.
