How Liverpool could line up against Spurs

Club captain Jordan Henderson has been passed fit by his manager Jurgen Klopp to feature against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.

The England international was rested altogether for his side's 2-0 win against Napoli in the Champions League on Tuesday, but Klopp has revealed that Henderson will be available for the trip to North London this weekend after recovering from a "little thing."

He could replace James Milner in midfield, with Liverpool's vice-captain ruled out of contention after suffering concussion against the Serie A leaders, while Andrew Robertson also received a rest and is likely to be restored to the starting XI at the expense of Kostas Tsimikas.

Darwin Nunez scored after coming off the substitutes' bench against Napoli and may form an attacking triumvirate alongside Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, who scored for the third successive match by breaking the deadlock in the 85th minute.

Ibrahima Konate's first start since returning from a muscle injury provided a major boost to the Reds' back line, and the France defender will almost certainly be preferred to Joe Gomez alongside Virgil van Dijk in defence as the visitors look to keep Harry Kane quiet.

However, the England captain will not have his usual partner in crime alongside him after Son Heung-min - who scored in both league fixtures against Liverpool last season - suffered a fractured eye socket in Marseille in midweek.

Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Naby Keita, Joel Matip and Arthur Melo remain sidelined with long-term injuries for the visitors, and it looks increasingly unlikely that any of them will feature prior to the World Cup.

Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago; Salah, Firmino, Nunez
