Toure: 'I have recovered from mistakes'

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure has insisted that it didn't take long for him to move on from two major mistakes that he made earlier this month.

Toure was at fault for West Bromwich Albion's equaliser in the 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns before he put through his own net against Fulham, but the Ivorian has revealed that he sees the errors as "part of the game".

The 32-year-old told the Liverpool Echo: "Of course I was able to put those things behind me because it's part of the game. Only people who take responsibility make mistakes. For me, I like to take responsibility. I like to pass the ball. That's my job.

"Like a basketball player, if you miss one shot, you have to be brave and take another one.

"You don't feel sorry for yourself. You don't think 'I missed so I won't try again'. I've just kept working hard."

The former Manchester City defender has found himself on the bench for the Merseyside's club last two fixtures.
