Raheem Sterling hails Brendan Rodgers relationship

Liverpool star Raheem Sterling highlights his good relationship with Reds boss Brendan Rodgers.

Liverpool star Raheem Sterling has talked up his good relationship with manager Brendan Rodgers.

The Reds star is yet to sign a new contract at Anfield, and recently stated that he will make a decision at the end of the campaign, despite Rodgers claiming that he was at ease about the prospect of Sterling inking fresh terms last month.

However, despite the impasse between the Anfield hierarchy and Sterling's representatives, the England international was quick to praise his manager in an interview with BBC Sport.

Sterling said: "I speak to Brendan on good terms. He calls me when he needs to talk to me and I can talk to him when I want.

"There's nothing bad to say or think about Brendan. He's been really good to me since I came into the team and he's always tried to help me.

"Everyone's dream growing up is seeing themselves in an away kit somewhere in a sunny country. But, in reality, I'm happy to be playing for Liverpool and trying to win trophies."

Sterling also recently admitted that he was flattered to be linked with a move to Arsenal.
