Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists that striker Luis Suarez has changed the way he conducts himself on the pitch.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes that striker Luis Suarez would have faced heavy criticism if he had been booked for diving as many times as Gareth Bale.

Bale picked up his fourth booking for simulation against Inter Milan on Thursday night, and Rodgers has insisted that Suarez would have come in for increased scrutiny from the media if it had been the Uruguay forward who had been cautioned.

The 40-year-old told reporters: "I know if that had been Luis, I would have been sat there answering questions for about half-an-hour.

"You can clearly see with Luis that he has taken on board everything, speaks with his teammates and you can see that change in him."

Rodgers will be hoping to see an end to the Welsh winger's blistering run of form on Sunday when Liverpool face Tottenham Hotspur.
