Brendan Rodgers, Daniel Sturridge win Premier League accolades

Brendan Rodgers has been named the Barclays Premier League manager of the month for August, while Daniel Sturridge has scooped the player of the month accolade.

The England international scored in both of Liverpool's 1-0 victories in August against Stoke City and Aston Villa.
