Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers demands swift improvement

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers calls on his players to "improve quickly" after a Premier League defeat to Crystal Palace made it four losses on the bounce.

Brendan Rodgers has told his Liverpool players that they must "improve quickly" in the wake of their 3-1 defeat at Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The loss was a fourth in a row in all competitions for the Reds, who have slipped to 12th in the Premier League standings.

During his post-match interview with Sky Sports News, Rodgers insisted that he was prepared to "take full responsibility" for their recent negative form, but he has also called on his squad to return to winning ways promptly.

"We concede poor goals and we've got no-one to blame but ourselves and as the manager I take full responsibility," he told reporters. "This is a wonderful group of players who give us commitment every day but we need to improve and improve quickly."

The Reds will turn their attention to Champions League matters on Wednesday evening when they face Ludogorets Razgrad in Bulgaria.
