Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has revealed that he would love to one day emulate Tottenham Hotspur stopper Brad Friedel.
The 40-year-old American has not missed a Premier League game since 2004.
A start at Anfield tonight will mean that the Spurs man will have played in 290 consecutive matches at the top level of English football.
The 29-year-old Spaniard, who will make his 176th consecutive league appearance for Liverpool in the game, is in awe of the record.
He told The Mirror: "I would love to beat Brad's record one day but I know it's going to be very difficult."
Friedel's remarkable feat includes his time at previous clubs Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa.
