Simon Mignolet relishing Arsenal test

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet backs his side to perform in tonight's top-of-the-table Premier League clash with Arsenal.

Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has declared that tonight's Premier League clash with Arsenal will provide the perfect platform to prove their worth after a strong start to the season.

The Reds sit third in the Premier League after losing just one of their first nine games, with Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge the catalyst for that success after forming an effective partnership in attack.

Mignolet believes that Liverpool should focus on themselves rather than worry about Arsenal's qualities ahead of their trip of the Emirates, insisting that the Reds are primed to leave North London with a positive result.

He told Sky Sports News: "First of all, it is a big opportunity for us to go out and play. It is a nice game to look forward to as a footballer. As a team, we all want to go into the game with confidence and motivated to do well.

"We will try and do our best and get out of the game what we can. "Arsenal have started the season really well. Mesut Ozil has got a lot of ability and has been scoring the goals.

"They have players with a lot of ability. But, for us, it is more about looking at ourselves and making sure we give the performance in the manner we want to play. We have to make sure we play at the best level we can."

Brendan Rodgers's side are unbeaten away from home this season, a four-match run which includes victories over Aston Villa and Sunderland.
