Mario Balotelli hits back at "hater" Jamie Carragher

Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli takes to social media to respond to Jamie Carragher's latest jibe, in which he joked that Nice overpaid to sign the striker on a free.

Mario Balotelli has accused Jamie Carragher of being a "wonderful hater" after the former Liverpool defender sarcastically claimed that Nice paid "over the odds" to land the striker on a free contract.

French side Nice took Balotelli on a permanent deal to bring his disappointing spell at Anfield to a close, just two years after joining in a £16m move from AC Milan.

Carragher has previously described the Italy international as being one of the worst signings in Liverpool's history, but Balotelli has not taken kindly to the latest jibes and has now responded via social media.

Balotelli managed just 28 appearances for Liverpool - all coming in the 2013-14 campaign - and scored a total of four goals in all competitions.
