Liverpool sack head physio Andy Renshaw

Liverpool reportedly sack head physio Andy Renshaw after just 15 months working with the first team.

Liverpool have reportedly sacked head physio Andy Renshaw as the shake-up of their medical department continues.

Renshaw was promoted to the first team just 15 months ago following the departure of Chris Morgan, having previously held a similar role in the club's academy since 2009.

However, he has now been unexpectedly dismissed from his role, becoming the latest member of the Anfield backroom staff to leave Liverpool during Jurgen Klopp's two years at the helm.

The number of injuries suffered by Liverpool players has reduced during Renshaw's time at the club, despite Klopp's intense style of play arguably making them more susceptible.

Adam Lallana has been the Reds' only major long-term absentee so far this term after picking up a thigh injury during pre-season.

Liverpool are yet to announce a replacement for Renshaw.
