Liverpool record lowest ever points total

Liverpool have ended the season with their lowest ever Premier League points total after they lost 1-0 to Swansea City on the final day of the season.

The Reds finished the season with 52 points, while they recorded their fewest wins, 14, in a top flight season since 1953-54.

The club also scored their fewest top flight goals, 47, since the 1991-92 season.

Kenny Dalglish's side finished in eighth position.
