Lucas Leiva thanks Liverpool fans

Liverpool midfielder Luicas Leiva has thanked the Anfield faithful for the "amazing" reception that he received before today's 1-0 victory over Southampton.

The Brazilian made his return from a thigh injury sustained during the Reds' 2-2 draw with Manchester City back in August.

Posting on Twitter, the 25-year-old said: "Very important three points and very happy to be able to play almost full game. Thanks for the reception that I got, it was amazing."

Leiva had also missed most of last season with a knee ligament injury.
