Rickie Lambert backs Adam Lallana to make impact at Liverpool

Rickie Lambert believes that Liverpool will begin to see the best of Adam Lallana as he regains full fitness.

Liverpool striker Rickie Lambert has claimed that the club's fans will start to see the best of Adam Lallana in the coming weeks as he reaches full fitness.

The England international has seen his playing time cut short after suffering a knee injury during the club's pre-season tour of the United States.

Lambert and Lallana both moved to Anfield from Southampton during the summer, and Lambert believes that his teammate will have a lot to offer.

"He's going to bring a whole new dimension to the team," Lambert told Liverpool's official website. "He was unlucky to get injured at a vital time in pre-season. No player likes to get injured at that time.

"He's come back and he's looking strong. He's only going to get stronger. He's missed out on a few weeks, and there's nothing he can do about that.

"But his attitude has been first-class in training. He's been desperate to get back. That extra strength and that extra speed will come back over the next few weeks and you will be seeing the best of Adam Lallana, without a doubt."

Lallana has made three appearances for the Reds.
