Adam Lallana hopes to improve goal tally next season after stuttering campaign

Lallana hopes to improve goal tally

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has revealed that he wants to improve his goalscoring form in time for next season.

The England international has struggled for consistency in his debut campaign due to numerous injuries.

The 27-year-old has made 39 appearances so far this season and has scored five goals.

"I'm working on my finishing and am always looking forward to improving my game," Lallana told the club's official website.

"At the start of the season I wanted to get into double figures, which I haven't managed to do, but I'll be looking to improve that next season.

"Liverpool is a fantastic club and I feel next year can be the stepping stone for many good years to come."

Meanwhile, Steven Gerrard will play in his final home game at Anfield on Saturday when Liverpool take on Crystal Palace.
