Jurgen Klopp: 'Crystal Palace aren't Liverpool's bogey team'

Jurgen Klopp says that Crystal Palace's recent good results against Liverpool will have no effect on the result when the teams meet in the Premier League on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp has said that Crystal Palace's recent success against Liverpool will have no bearing on the result when the teams meet on Sunday.

Liverpool have won just one of the last four matches against Palace and lost twice, including a 3-1 loss in Steven Gerrard's last home game for the club.

"It's good to be new. Somebody told me about the special history with Crystal Palace but I feel nothing when I hear it," Klopp told reporters.

"It's only football. In life, like sport, you can lose big but have to react in the right way, strike back, whatever.

"If we can use this experience then we should do it but nobody has to be afraid because of this opponent, it's not impossible to have a result against Crystal Palace."

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 12 matches while Palace have picked up just one point in their last four outings.
