Jurgen Klopp: 'I've not heard a bad word about Raheem Sterling at Liverpool'

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp suggests that there is no bad feeling from the players towards Raheem Sterling following his controversial summer move to Man City.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that he has not heard a "bad word" about Raheem Sterling around the club following the youngster's controversial move to Manchester City.

The England international, who received abuse from fans on Twitter for his desire to leave Anfield, sealed a £49m switch in the summer transfer window.

Sterling's agent Aidy Ward publicly criticised Liverpool and former manager Brendan Rodgers during the transfer saga, but Klopp has suggested that there is no bad feeling among the players towards their ex-teammate.

The 20-year-old will face his former club for the first time when City host Liverpool at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening.

"It's normal and nothing special," Klopp told reporters. "I don't know how many friends Raheem has here but he's a good player. He played here, had a good time here, I've heard no bad word about him. Friendly, shake hands, then it's football."

Klopp has guided the team to one victory, recorded one defeat and two draws since taking over the Reds last month.
