Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says that the Merseyside giants cannot afford to become complacent after their excellent start to the season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has acknowledged that his side cannot afford to become complacent after their impressive start to the campaign.

The Merseyside giants currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League table and have recorded six wins from eight games in all competitions, but Klopp has attempted to play down their achievements during the early stages of the season.

The 49-year-old told reporters: "It's much too early to be satisfied with anything this season.

"In this part of the season you create a base for the rest of the season. We have a job to do. We need to stay fit and have luck."

Liverpool take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
