Jordan Henderson: 'We'll put up a fight against Manchester City'

Jordan Henderson believes that Liverpool are good enough to beat Manchester City this evening.

Jordan Henderson is confident that Liverpool are capable of upsetting Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium tonight.

The Premier League leaders, who have stumbled in their last two fixtures against Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion, can go three points clear of rivals Manchester United if they defeat their Merseyside opponents.

While Roberto Mancini's side head into the clash as favourites, the Reds midfielder believes that Kenny Dalglish's men will put up a "good fight".

"I don't think they are leagues ahead of us," said Henderson. "They have some outstanding players and are a good team but we have some great players here as well so we will go there and put up a good fight.

"We are on the right path and we just need to keep playing the way we are - even against the likes of City. We know they are a good team but so are we and we need to just go there, play our own game."

Man City have a 100% record in their last nine league games on home turf, while Liverpool are unbeaten in their last five fixtures.
